With our second year at the Birkenhead Yacht Club, EchoLan 2024 brought a new premium experience to LAN parties in New Zealand, complete with outstanding views, stellar food from Chef Muppet, and an amazing group of gamers. Most of the classics returned from 2023 for a jam-packed schedule, alongside a few new faces in the crew, making for an epic event across a very interesting weekend.

Friday opened with Jackbox and a light movie night, while a number of valiant IT technicians also worked remotely from the venue supporting a response to an infamous global cybersecurity outage.

Saturday was packed with all the classics: Halo 3, Tekken 8, and Warcraft III, just to name a few. Chef Muppet served up some of the best food you have ever seen, and of course, the King of Games was the star of the show on Saturday evening.

Sunday was our FPS wind-down, with Killing Floor 2 and Call of Duty 4 keeping everybody on their toes before the journey home.
