Founded in 2009, EchoLan emerged as a LAN party for in-person gaming events in Auckland, New Zealand, with a keen focus on fostering social interactions through PC and console gaming. Over the years, this community has expanded its reach to conduct events throughout New Zealand.

In recent years, EchoLan has broadened its scope beyond traditional gaming meetups to include a variety of online engagements such as Pub Quizzes, live streams, and various other events. Despite this, EchoLan has preserved its distinctive “jank” flavor: a unique blend of fun and quirkiness.

Starting in 2023, EchoLan embraced a social-first approach, pivoting towards hosting more premium, intimate events. Through this evolution, EchoLan continues to be a vibrant event for gamers, offering an eclectic mix of events that cater to the preferences of our members.
